"TMC engaging In 'Vote Jihad' against BJP": PM Modi's Barrackpore rally attack
In the midst of impending voting, an alleged malicious attack on the residence of North Kolkata BJP President Tamoghan Ghosh has intensified political tensions in the state. The incident, centered around Amherst Street, has fueled heated exchanges between BJP and Trinamool Congress, with BJP alleging Trinamool's involvement in the assault. Subsequently, protests erupted outside Amherst Street Police Station, initiated by BJP supporters and countered by Trinamool supporters, resulting in a charged atmosphere with slogans echoing in the air.
According to allegations, unidentified miscreants targeted the BJP leader's house, causing damage to CCTV cameras and instigating BJP's claims of Trinamool's culpability. Tamoghan Ghosh, asserting himself as the target of the attackers, reported their arrival on a motorcycle. Consequently, BJP workers staged protests outside the police station, joined by Kolkata North candidate Tapas Roy, to demand action against the perpetrators. The situation underscores the heightened political tensions as the state braces for upcoming elections.
